Regeneration of Pinus halepensis (Mill.) through Organogenesis from Apical Shoot Buds

چکیده

Organogenesis and somatic embryogenesis have been widely applied as the two main regeneration pathways in plant tissue cultures. However, recalcitrance is still restriction clonal propagation of many woody species, especially conifers. They undergo a “phase change” that leads to significant loss vegetative capacity, reducing aptitude tissues organs be regenerated vitro beyond this point. In line with this, mature conifer trees has long-cherished goal laboratories worldwide. Based on previous works Pinus species from adult trees, we now present data about culture apical shoot buds an attempt induce organogenesis clone Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis). Reinvigorated axillary shoots were submitted conditions usually through manipulation media, including use auxins such 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid 1-Naphthaleneacetic acid, cytokinins (6-benzyladenine kinetin), phytosulfokine (50, 100, 200 nM). Although embryos could not obtained, embryogenic-like was produced, followed by emergence actively proliferating non-embryogenic calli. Variations consistence, texture, color calli observed; those arising media containing phytosulfokine. shoots, induced 22 or 44 µM 6-benzyladenine, obtained acclimatized, phenotypically normal plants obtained.

Removal of Cadmium from Aqueous Solutions Using Excised Leaves of Quetta Pine (pinus Halepensis Mill.)

Removal of cadmium from aqueous solution was studied by using Quetta pine (Pinus halepensis Mill.) leaves. Batch adsorption experiments were performed as a function of appropriate equilibrium time, pH, concentration of adsorbate and amount of adsorbent. The optimum pH required for maximum adsorption was found to be 7.0 and the maximum contact time for the equilibrium was 30 minutes at adsorbent...

Metabolic aspects of organogenesis in the shoot apical meristem.

Research over the last decade has led to tremendous advances in the characterization of the transcriptional networks involved in the initiation and maintenance of the shoot apical meristem (SAM), as well as the factors involved in the formation and development of leaves by this organ. However, one aspect of the SAM that has received rather limited attention is the fact that it is characterized ...

Aggregated Cones in Pinus Halepensis

Aggregated female cones were found in 192 Pinus halepensis trees growing in 54 populations in Israel, in habitats of vastly differing ecological conditions. All of these trees also carried normal (1-5 in a whorl) female cones. The number of aggregates per tree varied from one to several dozen. Some of the trees formed aggregates every year, after the first year of aggregate formation, while oth...

Morpho-Histological Analysis of Direct Shoot Organogenesis Induced in Flower Buds Cultures of Allium altissimum

The present work gives a detailed study of in vitro shoot organogenesis of the ornamental onion A. altissimum Regel from the buds of the middle layer of the inflorescences. The course of morphogenesis was examined by light and scanning electron microscopy. Histological observation revealed that during 3 5 days of culture on the BDS medium supplemented with 2.0 mg∙L−1 of BA and 2.0 mg∙L1 of NAA ...

Shoot Organogenesis and Plant Regeneration from Leaf Culture of Rehmannia elata L

For the regeneration of shoots, leaf segments of Rehmannia elata were cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with various concentrations of 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) (1, 2, or 4 mg L) with or without 1-naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) used at 0.1 or 0.5 mg L. Regenerated shoots were obtained from the leaf cultures at all BAP concentrations with or without both concentrations of N...
